The portrait series explores masculinity in a different way by showing selected personalities of the Sydney queer community together with unidentifiable subjects dressed in their fetish outfit. Seated behind a table, the subjects imply a non-verbal conversation with the viewer who is literally located on the other side of the table. The arrangements and compositions remind of historic portrait paintings of the Renaissance, as well as the paint-like photographic style. Underlined by the usage of vintage frames, the portraiture artworks are a representation of the zeitgeist evolved through history.
