'THE NAKED HOMO: AN EXPLORATION OF A HUMAN BODY
IN ANOTHER LIGHT'
Setup with differing coloured lights in the back- and foreground, the series shows a nude male torso in distinct expressions as well as just parts of the body. Due to the colour contrast the body shapes become surreal and the photograph in some way abstract. In contradiction to the colourful look, the appearance of the individual is introversive and at times desolated.
'Finding inspiration in the simplicity of using only my own body and coloured lights to create abstract arrangements and discover unique forms. Using body language in a subtle and plain way, I want to express the burden one has to carry and that there is a beauty to do so - everyone has a story.'
